2 Easy Steps to Take Back Control
Life has no limits when you acknowledge your freedom of choice and give purpose to everything around you.
At the core, I am a big perfectionist. I dream about all the things in my life that should be in place, well set up to work smoothly.
I am far from calling myself a doer. I overthink every simple fact in my life.
At least I used to until some time ago when it hit me. It hit me hard.
I realized that life leaves some consequences behind, even if I do not notice them at first. Life happens no matter what. Life happens even if I am not fully present to feel it. Life passes around me when all I do is thinking and living in my head.
So, I choose to canalize my energy to find solutions and implement them to upgrade this so-called worthless life.
If I can choose how I view and manage the situation, maybe I have the power to choose to believe in myself that I can overcome it. No surprises! I can really pick a fresh approach. With a different outcome.
“Never underestimate the power you have to take your life in a new direction.”
Germany Kent
Master the freedom of action.
One thing we will never lose as human beings — the power to make decisions about ourselves. We live in a world where our decisions are influenced by the context. We can’t control many things. We do not have power over many things.
But for sure, we have the power to decide how we want to think. How we want to act in a specific situation. How to respond to it. How to manage it.
So long as we are brave enough to accept the consequences of our actions, no one can take away our freedom of choice. — Mike Norton
Find the answers to the why questions.
To make a decision which we should not regret, we must understand why. We need the ultimate aim of that specific decision.
Living with purpose helps people live with honor, with integrity, no matter the circumstances.
Try to keep in mind these wise words coming from Viktor Emil Frankl, the author of Man’s Search for Meaning:
“ There is nothing in the world, I venture to say, that would so effectively help one to survive even the worst conditions as the knowledge that there is a meaning in one’s life. There is much wisdom in the words of Nietzsche: “He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how”.
If you read this, it means you are probably searching for a way to take back control of your life and the way you behave. Which you can change in a matter of seconds by shifting your mindset. You have the power to do whatever you want to do.
Find a suitable purpose for every small action you need to do and exercise your freedom of choice on it.
Can you believe it's that easy?
